I've been thinking a lot about my goals for 2012....I have always hated "new years resolutions" because I, for one have never stuck to them....but it seems like people set a resolution, then when they dont stick to it, they give up. Thats why I am setting goals for the whole year...and not resolutions.

With my new job it seems like I am spending ALOT more time at work, and that is different for me...I am missing my family...and I am super tired.

But I know that one of the reasons I am SO tired is because I am not taking care of my body. Since 2005...I have gained almost 70 pounds, and as of right now, I am not exercising regularly, I am not drinking water...and I am making poor food choices. I want to be healthy...and I want to be thinner...but I am SO addicted to food.

In our womens group at church right now we are learning about living the healthy life...mind, body and spirit...and I want to commit to living healthier...not just losing weight. I need to drink 130 ounces of water a day...and I need to be active EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I know that I can...as long as I rely on the Lord...and not my own will.

I cant believe that it's 2012! I have a TON of goals that I want to accomplish this year....and I am GOING to keep up with them...so here we go.

Blog at least once a week
Take more pictures of things and people I love
Be healthy
Lose at least 30 pounds
Show my husband how much I love and respect him EVERY single day
Take my husband to a NEW YORK JETS football game (which is easier this year becuase they play seattle....in seattle :) )
Save at least 500 dollars
Do something active at least twice a week
Read at least 6 books
Read my bible every day

I have a ton more....But I thought I would list 10 a day for a few days :)

Wow....I suck at being consistent on this blog! I don't know why! I mean, I check my Facebook 1,345,872 times per day and I manage other peoples blogs but I can't seem to get in the habit of doing y own. I Just downloaded the app on my itouch so now Maybe I will "get to the gettin" or should I say "get to the blogging!"

I am not a morning person....I LOVE to sleep...like REALLY REALLY love to sleep.

I am one of those people that set their alarm to go off an hour before they have to get up, AND my clock is set 30 minutes fast..just to make sure I get up on time!

This morning my alarm went off, and I hit the snooze just like I always do...I rolled over to go back to sleep..and I couldnt.

All I could think about was how "little people" or "midgets" ( I dont think thats the technical term, and I'm not trying to be offensive...) drive cars!

How do they reach the pedals? How can they see? what about the seatbelt? Seriously ya'll....for a good half hour, thats all I thought about.

I wiggled in the bed and the hubs rolled over and opened one eye and looked at me.

Hubs: (as hes looking at me with one eye) What are you doing?
Me: can midgets drive?
Hubs: Yes
Me: how?
Hubs: they have special pedals
Me: how can they see above the dashboard?
Hubs: they have like a boosters seat or something
Me: But then they cant reach the pedals at all!
Hubs: they have like extenders or something
Me: oh! okay!

Then I got up and went downstairs to get ready for work

I didnt think anything else about it until tonight when I got home. Hubs was sitting next to me and he started laughing...he asked " do you remember the very first thing you said to me this morning?" I said "no?!" then I remembered! He thought it was hilarious that I didnt say "good morning" or even "HI!" just "can midgets drive cars?"

I'm SO random.....

so as you will see in my post yesterday...my cousin was getting induced today to have her beautiful baby boy...Ian.

She did have him and he is PERFECT...but those details are for her to share...and I shouldnt until she does.

But I CAN share this....

They do this new things these days when you have a baby, and right when it is born the mom and baby have "skin to skin" time. They dont even clean the baby up, or weigh it or measure it. They just let the mom and dad and baby bond. I think thats way cool...

So while this "skin to skin" time is happening we are all waiting and waiting and getting super excited to see the baby! When Amys husband came and and told us that they were getting him all cleaned up...we went to the nursery to look in the window and see his precious face.

I walked to the window and saw him, and then I called to my other cousins and Amy's dad to come see him! The nurse was cleaning him all up, and we started taking pictures. When she opened the door and wheel him out, we were all SO exicted, taking more pics and saying how adorable he was.

This whole time the nurse was looking at us SO WIERD...finally she said....."you guys! this isnt your baby!" "He is still with his mamma!"

HAHA!! we were doting and taking pictures of a baby that wasnt even the one we thought!

Massive fail on my part.....but hey...whoever the parents are of that baby..., they did good...he is WAY cute.

So, if you need me... I will be deleting pics from my camera...because they are of someone elses baby :)

tomorrow something very cool is happening!

this little lady

who I call one of my BEST friends...and shes like a sister to me (but we are only cousins) :)

is getting induced to have her baby!!!!

I know that she will be an AMAZING MOM....because she is already an amazing mom to her step kids, and AN AMAZING AUNT to my kids

........they all love her SO much. Her mom, my aunt...is also an amazing mom, and she has brought all of her kids up right...she is a preschool teacher...and is such an awesome woman of God. I am so blessed to have so many amazing women in my life.....

I am so excited for tomorrow...to meet Ian David....a little gift from God...please pray for a safe and healthy delivery for Amy!!

Wow, its been almost a whole year since I last posted on here! There has been SO many changes in our life in the past year! God had some plans for us....and we are just following His lead! We moved from our home, that was PERFECT for us.....to live with my father. As my mom passed away a year and a half ago....he needed some help, and some company. Plus it would allow us to save some money and buy a house later.

Its been SO crazy living in the house that I grew up in, mostly because my mom isnt here. But there are SO many memories in this house! Plus, my mom was a very organized hoarder :) HA! not really a hoarder....but she loved pretty things, and she has ALOT of them. Her main love language was gifts....and so she LOVED to give amazing gift baskets to people.....when we moved in and started moving and going through some of her stuff we found boxes and boxes of new unused items that she had bought and intended to use for gifts! I have her same love language, and I cant wait to give some of these very special items to some very special people in my family,because it will be a gift from me AND my mom!

The hubs has also graduated from college with his bachelors degree! I cant wait to see what GOD has in store for him and his future career, all I know is that I am SO proud of him!

I love this pic, but miss Mary wasnt in it...shes still in Texas with her Dad..but she will be here on July 1st! I CANNOT wait...I miss her SO much!

Tomorrow my baby girl starts first grade!

I Cannot believe that she is getting so big! I remember the first time I held her in my arms, I realized that I had never ever loved anyone so much. I knew in that very moment that I would do anything for her.

I knew how my mom felt about me, how deeply she loved me. I knew then what it was like for her to watch me go through fights with friends, breakups with boys, and how she hurt when I would fall and scrape my knee. My heart hurts when my baby girl cries, when she throws a fit, I cant stand it, because I dont want her to be upset. When she is sick or hurting I lose my mind, because I want to take away her pain. And when she is with her dad and she tells me how much she misses me, my heart actually hurts, because I cant wisk her away and bring her back here.

I know that the Lord created this beautiful child for His purpose, and I know he has BIG things for her.

She is so loving and so smart.

I am so thankful for this little gift I call my daughter, and I am so thankful for the beautiful sassy little girl she is becoming.

God is Good and I see Him and His promises every time I look into her sweet little face.

I hear God telling me just how much He loves me when I hear her say she loves me.

When she climbs into my lap and I snuggle with her I can feel Gods arms around me, holding me tight, telling me that He will NEVER EVER let me or her go.

And its my hope that she knows just how very very much I love her, and how very very much her God loves her.

Especially on her first day of FIRST GRADE!!!!

Who wouldnt wanna be her? Learn to dance like that...with a hottie like PS? When this movie first came out, I would watch it over and over again (I was like 9) and then I would pretend to dance like her...I would run and jump onto the table on my tummy like I was doing the lift :) Its still one of my FAVORITE movies :)

2. Charlie from Charlie St. Cloud

(only the part of him being able to see and spend time with his brother, I dont believe in ghosts or all of that stuff...but the idea of being able to see and talk to my mom is something I wouldnt mind) Only because I miss my Mom SO much, and even though I know that she is perfect and joyful in heaven, I still wish I had her here. So part of me wishes I could have just a little more time with her. To hug her, and tell her how much I love and appreciate her.

Broken Hearts

I really miss my mom today...I just wish I could see her face, hear her voice, and hold her hand or hug her.

When I was sad, or sick or upset, she would put her hands on my face, and look into my eyes, and tell me that everything was going to be ok. Sometimes my heart hurts so bad that I feel like its gonna burst out of my chest, I miss her so so much.

And I'm sad that Mary wont get anymore time with her. My mom loved that little girl with all of her heart, and she treasured every second that she got to spend with her! One of their favorite things to do together was play dress up!

Mary used to call my mom her "sparkle grammy" because my mom always wore something sparkly and ALWAYS had jewelry on for Mary to play with. Mary adored her, and definately loved to play with her jewelry!

But my mom also sparkled from the inside, she was a true light of Christ, and she perservered through things that I know I wouldnt have been able to go through, she fought illness, and health issues, but she was never "sick" if you know what I mean.

She would have done anything for anyone, and she did...she was always doing something or giving something to someone.

She was amazing...and I want to be like her. I want to give of myself until there is nothing left, I want to have all of the fruits of the spirit, I want to make my mom proud.

But most of all today, I just want to hug her, and I cant...and my heart hurts.

The hubs and I were at costco the other day and there was this couple in the dairy section...the woman was walking over to get eggs, and then she bent over..I'm not even kiddng...she like looked to make sure people were watching, turned and smiled a little... and then she bent all the way over, to get eggs out of the bottom box (when there are pefectly good eggs on the top)... you I could see all of her reeces peices when she bent over..her skirt just BARELY covered her butt..and she had no under garments on..then she had on like 10 inch stripper shoes....it was DISGUSTING..she is totally flaunting all shes got and acting like she knows shes hot..she looks like she belongs in a seedy club with a pole. All of the other couples in that aisle were standing there with their mouths open...it was NASTY...

Me: OMG

Hubs: What

Me: did you see that?

Hubs: did I see what?

Me: that woman

Hubs: No

Me: dude, when she bent over I could see all of her la la

Hubs: thats wrong

Me: seriously, nasty..

Hubs: (as he looks over at them) I think I know them , I've seen them around together... I think that she is a hooker, or a mail order bride or something, they act like they dont even like eachother together..but he acts like he owns her, and she is ALWAYS dressed like that, acting like shes all that...

Me: with all her kibbles and bits hanging out?

Hubs: yep..its nasty

Me: for real, who goes to costco with their la la hanging out?

Hubs: I guess hookers and mail order brides do..

Me: (jabs him in the ribs) how do you know about hookers and mail order brides?

Hubs: (rolls his eyes) can we please finish shopping now?

I have an innie... being the voluptuous gal that I am :)

2. What kind of milkshake do you order?

I LOVE milkshakes :) chocolate or Vanilla malts, or huckleberry milkshakes

3. How often do you repeat outfits at work?

It depends on the season, I have more winter clothes than summer clothes, so in the summer I wear the same things week after week...I suck :)

4. What are your feelings about thank you notes?

I love getting thank you notes, but I am horrible at sending them...but I do know that for most people a hand written note is so special, I have to send thank you notes for my work, and I enjoy that..knowing that it makes my clients feel special!

5. Do you like spicy food?

Yes, but I didnt like anything spicy until after I had my daughter..now I LOVE spicy food!

6. How many toilet paper squares do you use?

Probably too much :)

7. Were you in Girl Scouts?

I was a brownie, but the only thing I remember from that was that we had a slumber party one night at our troop leaders house, and a girl there had headlice, when my mom found out, she came and got me!

8. Notebooks/Journals: College ruled? Wide Ruled? No lines? Spiral Bound? Plain front? Decorative?

My boss recently gave me a set of pink moleskin notebooks, they are small, with no lines...and I love them!

9. Do you snack throughout the day? What do you pack for snacks?

Not usually...but then I MOW down when I get home...I should start packing stuff for snacks at work, but I forget...and I am usually running around like a half asleep crazy person in the morning! Recently, I started freezing purple and green grapes...O my heavens they are SO yummy!

10. What is your favorite month? Why?

I'm not sure on this one, it used to be december, but since my mom passed away, I'm not feeling it so much...so lets say May, because its my birthday, mothers day, and my wedding anniversary!

Shopping Tip

I am a compulsive shopper, I shop when I'm happy, sad, bored, lonely, angry...basically I shop when I have any emotion at all. And that gets me in trouble! :) I also hate to try things on in the store..both of these tend to get me in trouble!

So I've figured out a system ( mind you that I am a little insane) ! If I go shopping and I find something (clothes or accessories) that I think I cant live without, I buy it..but when I get home, I leave it in the bag..and hang it on the hand of my closet door. If I use it, or wear it within a week, then I know it was a good purchase :) but if it sits in the bag for a week, then I take it back, no harm, no foul :) There have been too many times that I buy something on an impulse and it sits in my closet or in my bathroom for weeks, or months...and I got tired of pulling things out of my closet with tags still attached! So this systems saves me money in the long run, and I still get to feed my shopping addiction :) I do the same things with my older girls (one is 14 and one is 12)...if I buy them something and they dont use it or wear it within a month I take it back.

2. Hair Tip

I do hair, I've done hair for over 10 years now, and I LOVE it...one of my favorite products to use on my clients, and on myself is this....It's a 10 miracle leave in...this stuff is BANANAS! no joke, sometimes, after a really intense color, I wont even condition my clients, I just load their hair with this....and it is AMAZING...even if you have hair that NEEDS conditioned to be able to even get a brush through...this stuff does the job...

And this stuff...I put it in my color, and bleach, and then I use about a capful before I style...I use it on my own hair when I wash it at night, I put a capful ( i have long hair!) in my hands and rub it all though my hair, then I put it in a tight bun...in the morning, its SO soft!! I love this stuff...plus it smells like the islands!

Weekend Recap

It was a quiet weekend for us ....Thursday night I hurt my neck when I was sleeping so when I woke up, I couldnt move it, and it hurt SO bad...by 1pm on friday, I had a horrible headache and a little bit of nausea because I couldnt move my head around! So I left work early to go home and take medicine and use a heat wrap...I slept for 6 hours, and I ended up not going to the Jason Michael Carrol concert that our station put on! I NEVER miss a concert....so I was sad that I missed this one! But the good news is that we are bringing TRAVIS TRITT to the valley! So I will be at that one for sure! One of the perks to my job is that we get free concert tickets and get to meet and chat with the artists! I love it!

Saturday morning when I woke up,I felt a little better, so we decided to take a drive to Grangeville and visit my aunt and uncle and my grandma...we had never been to their new house, and it was so cute! It was good to see them! My aunt and uncle made us a yummy dinner, we had grilled steak, macaroni salad, fruit and baked beans :) It was perfect summer time food! We stayed for a few hours, then we headed home, and stopped at Dairy Queen for a blizzard!

Sunday I had made plans to go to church with my Dad, but it was 10:15 and I realized that since its august our church only has one service and it starts at 10:10, not 11:11 the normal one that we go to! So I had to rush and get there before my dad, since we missed 45 minutes of the service, we decided to just go have breakfast! We went to waffles and more, the most fabulous down home breakfast place in our town...and it was so good! Plus it was good to spend some one on one time with my dad! The hubs had to work last night until 6, so when he got off we ran to the diner by our house and grabbed dinner, and we watched The Next Food Network Star!

I LOVE Aarti...and I hope she wins :) Shes just so cute, she always has a flower in her hair..which I LOVE! Plus, the girl can cook!

I got to talk to my baby girl miss M on Sunday, and it made my heart happy to talk to her, even if it was just for a second...I really wish her Dad would be more cooperative...but I pray for him every single day! I am sending her a new princess backpack today as she will start FIRST grade soon...thats just insane to me! Its crazy that shes grown up so much..

I am SO ready for this week to be over again! So I'm glad today is "hump" day!

I decided the a few weeks ago to get a couple things for a new table centerpiece and too get a few more things for my cross wall...I just love the way my table turned out, but, my wall still needs a little work....

I've had the cross wall ever since we moved in, and I keep finding things to put on it! So tonight I asked the hubs to help me hang something up high, and then I proceeded to move everything around. After standing there for a while staring at it, he said "what are you doing?", this is the convo that followed...

Me: I'm trying to figure out whats missing, on the bottom, it looks like its too full

Hubs: yeah there are too many crosses, lets move some over to the other wall

Me: No, its the cross wall, thats the purpose..to have a wall full of crosses, I just need to find something else to break it up on the bottom

Hubs: (as he stares at the wall with a blank look on his face) well, I dont know..why are you asking me?

Me: I didnt ask you, You asked what I was doing, and I told you!

Hubs: Well, I think there are too many crosses, on the "cross" wall

Me: Well, I like it, I dont care what you think...

Hubs: Then Dont ask!

Me: Fine...but I didnt ask!

Hubs: Fine, I still say there are too many crosses....

He's Got issues :) and I need more crosses!!

Simple Pleasures

My top 2 Simple Pleasures

bedtime when miss M is here...Snuggling/singing to miss M ...I wish I could snuggle and sing her to sleep every single night, hearing her sweet little voice sing with me, and then she'll say "mommy scratch my back" and after I do for a while, then she starts to scratch mine...she is so gentle and sweet...we have the BEST conversations when we snuggle at bed time, and then my favorite part of that is praying for her, and then hearing her sweet prayers too.

when my hubby texts me and tells me he loves me...which he does more than once....every single day :)

I was SO looking forward to this past weekend, because my best friend in was coming to stay with me! I never get to see her and we only live 20 minutes away from eachother! We had planned that I would do her hair and she brought dinner from applebees, and we just hung out...it was SO much fun!

We did this...

I gave her some hot new highlites, and a fresh cut...perfect for the hot days of summer!

And the Malibu that she bought for our fun drinks came in this cool bottle, with markers, so you could color on the bottle :) We made fake Mai Tai's with malibu, pineapple juice and rasberry pucker...they were yummy! And of course since I dont drink hardly ever, it was a nice treat!

Then we watched this...

It was so nice to just hang out together, no hubby's, no kids, no other annoying people :)

Just us...of course there was some facebook stalking, and tons of remembering!

I am so thankful to have a best friend like her, she is always there for me, and she knows me better than anyone...Love you Marie!

I am SO ready for this week to be OVER! Its been hectic at work...and my BFF is coming to spend the weekend with me! So, I got nothin...so here are some random thoughts that probably will make no sense to anyone else but me...

I made chicken fajitas for dinner tonight..they smell so good, but I cant eat them until my dad gets here for our wednesday night LOST dinner date!
I love mexican food, and I miss galveston/Houston because they have UH MAZE ING mexican food there. (mainly queso)
I am addicted to LOST after my dad bought all of the seasons, he decided that we should watch it together on wednesdays and fridays..and I cant get enough of that show!
I love spending time with my dad, and I cherish it even more now that my mom is gone, and I know how fast life can change. (ya'll...call your mom and tell her you lover her, and let your dad know how much you love him too)
I want to DEEP clean my house, but I am lazy..
I wish I had a maid, so I could actually be lazy and not do anything!
I got to talk to my baby girl today..which makes me heart SO happy
I know that there are certain people who read this blog and "judge" me...
guess what...I dont care! :)
There are knats outside, everytime I walk outside they get stuck in my hair and then I feel like I have bugs crawling on me for like an hour.
I need to clean and organize my closet..for reals!
Teenage girls should not where bikinis that show all their reeces pieces, girls cover up those goodies!
I've gained 60 pounds since my mom died in October, and I NEED to go to the gym
looking at recent pictures of myself makes me mad that I used food for comfort, and not Jesus
I love Jesus
I love my hubby, I made a challenge for myself on sunday that I would tell him EVERY day for 30 days something that I respect about him, or something that he does that I am thankful for! (Ive done it every day since sunday :) )
I want to go to Vegas again and stay at Aria, those suites are SWEET! :)
I am terrified of snakes, and every morning, I think I will step on one when I walk to my car
I've never even seen a snake here at our house :)

1. How do you take your coffee on an average day? How do you like your coffee if you’re splurging? I like my coffee with any kind of flavored creamer! And when I am splurging...I get a quad iced white annihalator from Dutch Bros. its my FAVORITE, and its very addicting!

2. What is your genre of books to read? I like chick books, christian fiction, and devotional or self help books..I should read the bible more too..

3. Where do you want to retire, if you could go anywhere? I would like to buy a cabin on the Couer d Alene Lake, or maybe on the coast somewhere.

4. The 17-year-old you is told to write a 10-minute speech. What topic would you have picked?The importance of making mistakes, and LEARNING from them!

5. What word describes you best?HOTMESS (hahaha!)

6. What is the next “event” that you are looking forward to? (ex.: vacation, moving, date, job change, etc) October, when we go to Galveston to see baby girl

7. Do you like to discuss controversial topics or do you prefer to avoid those types of conversations? It depends on who I am talking to, and if I want to get a reaction out of them or not.

8. Would you rather add 4 free hours to each day, or add 1 extra day to the week? 4 free hours to the day, as long as they werent hours spent working, and I could spend time with the hubs, or other members of my family.

10. If you had to be a teacher, what subject would you teach? Oh wow, I dont think that I could be a teacher, but I would feel most comfortable with teens, and I would like to teach a "life skills" class...so many teen girls have NO idea how to do things like cook, or sew a button :)

Trip to Boise

This last weekend, I went down to southern Idaho to visit my cousin, and to go to the Boise Music Festival. We had a blast! I stayed at her house with her and her hubs..and her crazy poochies...she has two pugs and a mutt :) they are CRAZY!!

The first night that I got there, it was like 10:30 and I was starving so we ran to applebees for some half price apps...and the craziest thing happened! They sat us in the back part of the restaurant, and there was a couple sitting behind us. My cousin was like OMG...those people are totally making out! I thought to myself, yeah right...who mugs down in a restaurant full of people?? Ya'll I kid you not, these people were MUGGING down like no other...his hands were ALL over her reeses pieces, and you could here every kiss...then he started singing to her IN SPANISH! It was sooooooooo uncomfortable! We asked the host if we could move, and she said yes, and then she was like "oh, you dont wanna sit by "the couple"? Seriously??? They knew this was going on, and didnt do anything! YUCK!

Anyways ....

These are some yummy cupcakes that we bought at the music festival...they were DEE LISH US! No joke...they were legit :) (key lime coconut, strawberry shortcake, bubblegum)

We also had frozen yogurt after lunch on Saturday, I had cake batter yogurt with strawberries, and white chocolate chips! YUM!

When I moved back to Idaho from the south, I missed this place sooooooo much! They have the BEST queso and tortilla soup ever....so I was so jacked when I found out that there was one in boise! We had lunch there on Saturday :)

On saturday morning, we went to the Boise farmers market, and there was tons of awesome booths, and there was THIS store! called PINK! how fun! I of course had to take my pic with the store front!

It was a great weekend...we got to see Macy Gray, and the Backstreet Boys...along with 50 thousand other people! I'm not kidding there were SO many people...and it was 5 million degrees, so everyone was sweaty and nasty...and bumping into me..I almost lost it a few times...but then I chilled out!

I went to church with my cuz on Sunday, and her church was awesome! They have a great mission statement, about training people up to go out and make disciples!

All in all, it was a great weekend! I wish that the hubs could have gone with me, but it was great to have an all girls weekend! Thanks Steph! :)

I am a beauty product junkie, shower gels, bubble bath, shampoo, and of course makeup...and I LOVE my shower its huge and awesome...my favorite part of showering is my huge bath poofie that I lather up with my shower gel and scrub away the day...until the other day

I was walking by the shower...there is no door, our shower is like a little marble room in itself, with a large lip to step over, so the water doesnt come out..hubs was in the shower and I saw something pink out of the corner of my eye...

HE WAS USING MY POOFIE!!

This is the conversation...

Me: are you using my poofie?

Hubs: Yes...

Me: are you serious, thats sick...thats nasty get your own poofie...

Hubs: are you kidding? We sleep in the same bed and kiss, (and the other things that come with being married :) ) but I cant use your poofie?

Me: NO! its mine, thats why its pink...and if you need one i will buy you one...but you cant use mine!! I dont want your boy funk on my poofie!!

(at this point he is about to fall over laughing, and I am trying SO hard to be serious!)

Hubs: whatever...(then he scubs his armpit with my poofie)

Me: Your a punk (I say as I walk away and he is DYING laughing)

(fast forward to a few days later, last night)

Me: did you see that I bought another poofie? Its blue..

Hubs: for me?

Me: No, for me, you can have the pink one...

Hubs: Why? I should get the blue one, and you can have your pink one!

Me: NO!! You already defiled the pink one, so now its yours, and the new blue one is mine!

This weekend I am going to Boise to stay with my cousin stephanie, and we are going to the Boise music festival...I got tickets from work, and I have to tell you , I am pretty jacked to see these guys....

HAHA! yes you read that right, the backstreet boys will be there, along with Macy gray, and Brett Michaels...what can I say...its a free concert! I know that my cousin and I will have a blast!

Oh...monday how I loathe you!

I so didnt want to get out of bed this morning! I was SO tired!

It was a great weekend! Saturday was the KRLC pinic, one of our biggest events all year, we had over 400 people there, and the non profit that we worked with (The Honor them foundation, they work with vacation properties to give free vacations to returning combat vets!) to serve the food at the event raised over 650 bucks! YAY!

I was there from 9am till 10pm, and when I got home I was EXHAUSTED! :)

Sunday, Rick had to work, and the kids went back to their moms, so I slept in..it was GLORIOUS! Then when Rick got off we went to see Grownups and had dinner at Zanys..the movie wasnt as funny as I had hoped but oh well. After the movie we went to Spot on Yogurt but they were out of Cakebatter yogurt! SAD!

We were in bed by 10, and it was wonderful!

One of the fun things that we did when M was here...we went to a local Tea House here in town, and M LOVES it! We always go when she is here....She says, Mommy, can we go to the tea party place? When we do, she is soooo lady like, she says "one lump or two" and she holds her pinky up! She is such a little princess! :) It would have been so awesome to take my mom there with M...they both would have been in 7th heaven with eachother!!

The tea house has hats and shoes and gloves for the patrons to try on...its so fun!

I miss you today, very much. I bought you a backpack today, and I am going to send it to you, so you have use it on your first day of 1st grade!!! I am so proud of you, and so blessed by the amazing little girl you are. I miss you laugh, and I miss hearing you tell me how much you love me every five minutes, feeling your sweet little hand holding mine..every day you are gone, my heart aches...but I know that God has a plan for your life, and I know that because I trust Him, everything will be ok.

Hubs: *big exasperated sigh* Baby, you've gotta start turning off lights

Me: You've gotta stop annoying me (kidding of course)

Hubs: Well, me annoying you doesnt cost us money, you've gotta start turning the fan off (we sleep with a fan on at night) when you wake up too. *very matter of fact voice* it costs us alot of money to keep the lights on all the time, and the fan running all day.

Me: Well, you've gotta stop leaving your underwear on the floor in the bathroom when you get in the shower...

Hubs: that doesnt cost us money, either

Me: Well it annoys me...and when I'm annoyed I like to shop...and that costs us money

Hubs: Okay...I will start putting them in the dirty clothes

HA! I win! :)

OMG!!!

I watched RHONJ last night and the throw down between Teresa and Danielle (who is certifiable) as much as I ~~wanted to watch Teresa kick Danielles hoochie butt~~ like the drama...it was kinda disturbing!

And after it was over, when Teresa was home explaining it to Joe she was like "didnt I do a good job?" and they high fived eachother...not sure what that was about!

this show is addicting...I love reality shows because they are so ~~drama filled and fake~~ real! I think they should come and do a RH of Idaho! Can.you.imagine? HA!

Okay so this is my last post of our trip to Las vegas...I still have more pics...but I will bust them out at some random times later...

On our last night there we went to see KA..and we ate at Emerils..can I just say 3 words?? DEE LISH US...seriously! It was some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth! This was Ricks Ahi tuna

And this ya'll was my dads salmon..I dont eat salmon because ~~its nasty and fishy and gross~~ of the texture but my dad made me try this..and it was so yummy!
Mary was a little princess at dinner...she drank her sprite out of a wine glass and she used table manners, she just loved having a big girl dinner!

both my dad and mary have their eyes kinda closed in this pic..but I still thought it was post worthy!

This was humpty dumpty in the venetian...she saw it and said very matter of factly "mom, you have to take a picture of me with that!"

On this day, we walked ALOT and I told her we were going somewhere special and that she could put on all of the makeup that she wanted....ya'll you should have seen her eyes light up!

Sephora = Heaven on earth (this is one of the largest sephoras in the USA!)

She was in 7th heaven and she put on about 1,234,556 layers of makeup and I let her...because shes my daughter and I can!

This was also at the venetian...this guy was all painted white..and he stood there for hours, there is NO way I could do that job!

One night we went to Excaliber to Eat at "Dicks last resort" we had heard about it, and it was the most interesting dining experiance! The waiter threw our straws and napkins at us, and called my dad granpa and AARP...they made Mary a hat that said " I fart in the bath tub and bite the bubbles" yes, its nasty I know..but it was all part of the experience.

Since we didnt have all of the kids on the 4th of July, we had to postpone some of our fire work shooting off...until the kids came back from their moms.

We did so some with mary and my dad, but we saved half..it was a fun night..and the kids had a blast helping Rick light them..i was trying out the timer mode on my new camera..and I wasnt impressed..it kinda sucked..oh well! Here are some cute pics from that night! (please excuse the fact that everyone especially myself..looks like a hot mess..we were in the pool all day!)

I will do probably about 2 more posts after this from our trip to las vegas...I have so many pictures, I am trying to go through them all! I am so glad I decided to start blogging before this trip because now, I have a "journal" of our trip..and all of the special things we did!

This fish tank at Ceasars...was awesome...and she looks so freakin cute! Mary in front of one of the fountaina at Ceasars!

We had lunch at margaritaville one day..and Mary got her picture taken with the parrotts! It was soo cool! She did look terrified for a minute, but then she was cool with it...I wanted to put that pic on here, but I cant get it to scan! But this a pic from outside...these chairs were cool! Of course we had to take a trip to Ceasars Palace the Forum shops...She loves to shop just like me..but I know it was a lot of walking for her! We stopped and got gelato..it was so yummy, I had never had it before! Mary wore a tiara all day this day, and everyone kept telling her happy birthday...I kept saying..no its not her birthday shes just a princess! She loved every second of it! One of the things that we did, that we didnt get pictures of (because we couldnt take pics) was going to see KA the cirque d'solei show at the MGM...can I just say it was AMAZING!! I have never ever seen anything like it! And Marys eyes were as wide as pie plates the whole time...it was so cool to watch her expression! She says it was one of the best parts of the trip! I am so very very thankful to my dad for taking us! It was an amazing trip, and I enjoyed spending time with him..and I know he loved every second of spending time with Mary girl.

The next morning we woke up around nine and headed to the studio cafe for breakfast..then we headed to the pool! Or should I say POOLS? they have 5 of them! We all went...and it was awesome! I think that swimming is a good thing for my dad..with his MS..I think he should do that more often, I think it would help his balance!

This pic is funny...Mary was just amazed at all of the pretty things to look at...here at the wolfgang puck restaurant she thought that these flower walls were pretty..so of course we had to take a picture!!

Also on the first night there.... wanted dessert when we got back to our room before we went to bed, and the boys were still playing blackjack...so we ordered room service..and we ate our sundaes in BED! HA!

This was the statue of Liberty at the New York New York, and it was made completely out of jelly beans!! How cool!

The first night we were there we decided to stay at our hotel...so we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM..that place is special for us, becasue whenever we go to Galveston to pick up Mary or visit, we always go to the Rainforest there..and we have since she was 1 yr old!

Goodbyes and waterfalls

Thursday Rick and I took Mary to Portland to my ex husbands mother. She only gets to be here with us for 42 days in the summer...and as hard as it is to say goodbye..I know that God has a plan...and 42 days is better than nothing. So I cherish every single minute of the time that she is here.

We stopped by Multnomah falls on the way to Portland..it is soooo pretty! I snapped a few pics!

We said goodbye and there were lots of tears...but Mary was so excited to see her Nana...but she kept saying " I love you mommy...I will miss you so so much".

I know that she will be fine..but it still hurts my heart..I wont see my baby girl until October. But I have tons of good memories from this summer!

Last night I was trying to get Mary settled for bed, and I said, go down and get into bed and I will be there in a sec. She said "but mom, you have to come down to tuck me in and pray to me!" That was so sweet! I pray with her before she goes to sleep...and she wasnt letting me off the hook! Oh how I love praying over my sweet little girl!

But last night she had a different plan, as we snuggled, I prayed with her and then she said "Ok mommy, its my turn"....then she followed with this " Dear Jesus, thank you for my mommy, please help her to be proud and strong and to let her know how much I lover her. And keep her safe when I'm gone...keep our whole family safe while I'm gone. please be with Rick and mommy and our whole faimly, and please let my mommy know that she is a princess..or a princess queen because she is your daughter too. I love my mommy so much, and I know that she is precious to you. "

It was the sweetest thing EVER. I am so thankful for this precious little girl.

And so thankful that she knows her Lord.

Girls and Guns

Rick took the kids shooting last week, and Mary had a blast! When she came home, she said "Mom!! I shooted!! And I shooted a tree branch!!" She was sooooo excited! Yes I know, we are rednecks..but at least the gun is pink, and she looks cute! HaHa!

Here in L-town Idaho, we have a couple of city pools, and the day care that Mary goes to took them there twice a week. The one that they took them to the most was called "bert lipps" (yeah i know thats a weird name!) BUT SHE CALLED IT BURNT LIPS! haha! so whenever she told someone what she did that day,she said..." we went to burnt lips!" HA!

there has been a commercial on tv lately for a cell phone company..im not sure which one, but the commercial is about their GPS system, its voice acitivated. And in the commercial, the mom says "outlet mall" and the dad is like "oh great" any ways... mary kept saying " mom, what is an outlift mom?" HA!

When we were in vegas, I did ALOT of shopping, and the one place that I wanted to hit before we left, was the miracle mile shops, so I kept telling my dad and rick that I wanted to go there...they day we actually went, in the cab ride there, Mary was chanting " miracle mile..miracle mile" "shopping, shopping!!" It was hilarious! Rick said "oh great...and it starts already!" HAHAHA!

fireworks and goodbyes

We had a fabulous fourth of July! We slept in (yes I know we should have gone to church...but we didnt) and Mary and I just hung out all day....we watched movies, and then went for ice cream!!

My Dad came in about 6 and we finished watching the 2nd season of LOST...I cant wait till wednesday when we start the third! I am WAY addicted! We did some little fireworks when it got dark..but our neighbors must have spend thousands on their fireworks, so we enjoyed quite the nice little show! HA!

It was kind of bittersweet for me, as we usually go to my grandmas to watch the fireworks from her yard...but she is living with my aunt and uncle now..so that was wierd, not going there. Another missing peice was that my mom always brought stuff to make homeade ice cream..and she wasnt here this year to do that either. I miss her..with all of my heart.

But...we managed to have a pretty good night! We ate burger king for dinner, and I got a really cool Eclipse cup! (yes, I am a dork...but I love the twilight movies!)

My Dad spend some QT with Mary girl, as she leaves on thursday to go back to her dads house...for 6 months! My heart aches already knowing that it will be that long before I get to see her sweet face again...but I know that she is in Gods hands and He will take good care of her! I am not looking forward to that goodbye on thursday, but I have to do it...so say a prayer for me ok?

Well..We are home from Vegas! It was an AWESOME trip, and we had a great time...and it was so great to spend such quality time with my dad and mary!! I will post pics later today! But for now...this is one of the treasures I got a the forum shops!

Movies and Jeremiah 29:11

Last night we went to go see Toy Story 3..it was Mary, her friend Dawson and me! It was in 3D, and the kids loved it! The end was kinda scary, and sad! It kinda surprised me how scary it was (for a kids movie)

It got over at 8:40 and Mary was exhausted, so she crashed when we got home. I am trying to spend as much quality time with her as I can, as the time that she goes back to her Dad comes closer and closer.

I had a mini breakdown last night when I was talking to Rick, because I was thinking about my situation with Mary, and jeremiah 29:11...and how God promises that He has a plan for our lives, and as a christian I believe that with all of my ♥. But after that verse, you read that the people were exiled for a LONG time, before God brought them back. They had to trust God, and know that someday they would be saved. And I know that ultimately that is what all my struggles are about, trusting that my God, my savior and my best friend...knows whats best for me, and my family. But it still sucks when I'm walking through it. I have to tell my self all the time that I need to trust Him, and if I'm not walking by faith, then I'm not walking in His path. I know that when she goes back to her Dad, I will miss her....but I also know that God loves that little girl more than I can ever ever imagine, and if I remain faithful to Him, He will be faithful to me, and His promises that I live my life believing!

Wedding Dresses

I had to share this because is was PRECIOUS! and if I put it on here, it will be forever engraved in time! HA!

Last night I was putting clothes away, and Organizing my closet...Mary LOVES to try on my clothes, especially dresses!

She tried on my wedding dress from when I married her dad...when she put it on she said "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to wear this dress when I get married!" I almost started to cry! My mom always told me that she wanted me to wear her wedding dress when I got married, but I didnt...and I kinda feel bad about it! I will never remind Mary that she said that, but it was sooo very precious!!

She also loves to try on my shoes!

I AM BECOMING MORE AND MORE FORGETFUL!!! Yesterday was one of my friends birthday, she was turning the big 30..so her husband was throwing her a birthday bash! I made a yummy taco dip and headed over to her house with Mary. When I got there, I realized that I was supposed to be meeting one of my clients at my house to do her wedding hair run through!! It was 6:15 at the time, and she was supposed to meet me at 6!! So Mary and I rushed back home, but on the way there I checked my cell phone..and I had a voicemail, from my client, she was letting me know that she was running late so she wouldnt be to my house until 6:45ish!! HA! God is good, and I wasnt super late.she thought she was late..I HATE to be late because in my book LATE = UNPROFFESSIONAL!

The girl that is getting married is actually a girl I went to high school with, she was 3 grades below me...she is gorgeous and I was honored that she asked me to do her hair! I asked her why she asked me (she lives in New Mexico and I havent seen her in YEARS) and she told me it was because I was always so gorgeous and put together, and that my hair and makeup was perfect..and then when she found out I did hair, she thought I would be perfect! How cool is that??!!

She had a "birdcage veil" and I had NO CLUE, what that was so I did a little googling and this is what I found... the style is so pretty and hers is very similar to this one! We will do doing some FABULOUS hair with this veil! I cant wait!

Then last night, Mary woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible tummy ache, she was crying and curled up in a little ball...she was up for about 3 hours, I felt so bad because my baby girl was hurting and I couldnt fix it! I gave her a chewable pepto, and some applesauce...and she finally fell back asleep. I hate it when she is sick and I cant make her better!!

So we didnt take her to fingerprints today, she came to work with me. But since I was up the majority of the night, I was way tired today, and feel all stuffed up and kinda sickly. Needless to say, I hope it all goes away before Saturday!

Its only tuesday and Saturday could not get here any faster!!! Viva Las Vegas!!

What an awesome weekend! We had so much fun!

Friday hung out at home...my uncle is engaged to a fabulous woman who ♥'s fashion, and she had a ton of clothes that she wanted to get rid of, and she just so happened to have some clothes that fit Megan and Kendra, so they were having a fashion show trying things on. When Megan went into the office to try something else on, Mary grabbed one of the boxes and layed in it, all curled up. Then she knocked on the door! I said " what are you doing" she replied " Mom, I am being a puppy, like someone left me at the door!" HAHA! She has the best imagination!
Saturday, We ran errands, and I stopped at the hospital to see my friend Tileena and her new baby girl Addison! She is just perfect, and it made me have the baby itch even more!! I also ran by the diamond shop, because they were having a sale on Vera Bradley, so I got two new little treasures!!

we had one of Mary's friends over, and we had movie night...they were all so worn out!We decided to watch Cars...but they didnt even last through the whole movie!
Sunday we went to church, Rick had to work, so it was just the kids and I...I hate it when he has to work on sundays! After church my Dad came in and he surprised me by telling me he wanted to buy Rick a new grill for fathers day! So we went to costco and bought a grill....its awesome!!! We grilled steak for the adults and hot dogs for the kids, and Rick was sooooo surprised when he got home!
The kids build an awesome fort in Megan and Mary's room....I think they used EVERY blanket in the whole house!
We gave my Dad all kinds of fun treasures, but He just loved spending time with the kids!

Fit throwing and ice cream

So last night was the first night of the week that we had the other kids. When we got home, I had the kids start on their chores, and everything was going fine...until dinner...Mary didnt want to eat, and it turned into her screaming at me and crying, so I finally just said...you have two choices 1. you eat and you can have a popsicle. 2. you dont eat, and you dont get a popsicle. She decided not to eat...but that was after she threw a HUGE fit! Mind you this is my child that does not throw fits!! So that drama was over....until the kids started playing downstairs and fighting! Mary was screaming at the top of her lungs at Colton..I couldnt figure out what the problem was! When she came upstairs, that again turned into a huge fit when I told her that she needed to lay down! I mean HUGE fit...screaming, yelling, kicking! I thought aliens had abducted my child!
I took her downstairs and layed with her till she fell asleep...she was SOOO tired! It was cute cause she kept patting my face saying " I love you so much Mommy" ...I was rubbing her back, and singing to her...she fell asleep in 10 minutes..No joke!

I texted Rick and told him I would love him to death if he brought me home cotton candy ice cream from baskin robbins...and I wasnt sure if he really would...but when he walked in the door, he had it in his hand!!
If you've never had this sweet manna from heaven...you are SO missing out...its pink and purple..and OH so good!

Pedicures and Pappy!

We had the BEST night last night! After I picked Mary girl up from fingerprints..we went to get pedicures!!! I have been wanting to get my toes done for a while, and since we are going to Vegas next weekend, I thought it was the perfect time!

Mary had a blast! She has been getting pedicures with me since she was 3, and she LOVES them! like mother like daughter! HA!

Then after our pedis we ran to the store to pick up some things for dinner...and then hurried home cause my dad was coming for dinner and to watch LOST! We do this every friday and wednesday night, since we lost my mom. I wish that we spent more time together before my mom passed away, but it did make us realize how important our time together is. I cherish each and every moment now!!

She could almost use it as a crutch! HA!

We are going to Las Vegas next weekend and Mary is so excited (we are too!) Vegas was one of my mom's favorite places..and she always carried these awesome sparkly purses...so my dad brought them in for Mary to have, and to take to Vegas! She was sooooo excited! She kept saying "Oh, thank you Pappy! Oh, Pappy I love you!!"

We ate pork chops for dinner, and then Mary took a bath and we watched LOST! That show is SO addicting! No joke ya'll...we have been watching for almost 3 months now, we are on the second season! My dad bought all of them on DVD! I cant wait till friday! HA!

I wanted to post today about Mary, and the amazing little girl she is becoming! I can’t believe that my baby is 6!

Mary, I cant believe how beautiful and smart you are!! You are sooo smart! You love to spell things, and I cant believe how many words you can read! It is so hard for me to not know a lot about your school, and your teachers, but everytime you come home, you are smarter and smarter!

One of your favorite things to do is to see a sign, and ask “mommy, what does W A L M A R T spell??” Then I tell you, what the word is and you say “ Oh, yeah its Walmart!” like you knew all along! Its sooo cute!

You love to tell me that you love me, you say it probably about 5 times an hour…and I LOVE IT! Hearing “ I love you mommy” makes my heart so full, I cant even begin to tell you how much I love you, and how proud of the little girl that you are.

You love to sing praise and worship music!! We bought you the veggie tales worship CD, and you know almost all of the words to the songs! There couldn’t be anything sweeter than hearing praise to our God come out of your sweet little mouth!! It so makes me smile!

You love string cheese! You would eat about 4 or 5 a day if I let you!

You love to snuggle…and I love it too!

You love to wear dresses, you want to wear a dress every day!!

You love love love my makeup! You want to put it on every morning! Your favorite thing is eyeshadow and lip stick!

You love to read…we check out books from the library, I read them to you, and then you read them to me!

I wish more than anything that you could be here with us all of the time, and I know that someday, you will….But for right now, I just want you to know how very very much I love you, and how very very much God loves you! You told me earlier this month, that Jesus lives in your heart, and I am so very glad that he does. I pray for you every day when you are away from me, that God gaurds your heart, your mind and your body….and I know that he does.

You are an amazing little girl, and I am so proud to call you my daughter!

A day behind!

Well, I didn't post yesterday, Rick was sick, and I had Dr. appointments....so we had to go to Spokane. I did get a chance to return a few things that I purchased last month ( I hate to try things on in the store, and I am a TOTAL impulse shopper, so I return a lot of things!!) I returned a few things to target and a few things to Lane Bryant..but I bought a dress and a new ring!! We ate dinner at Red Robin, and then we brought home krispie kremes...YUM!! (I also brought some home as a thank you to our sales staff at work!) It sucks that we don't have a Target here in the Valley....this area needs to get with it!! Anyways...that's it for today!! Gotta get to work!

On a side note, I have decided to make my car a "no phone zone" I spend WAY too much time texting, talking and even face booking or twittering on my phone...its dangerous..and I need to STOP. So that's my resolution for now.

Why is it that being a female makes me seriously psychotic? I hate being a girl! I had a crappy day yesterday...and a long evening, and when I got home all I wanted to do was lay in bed and "be"....but my sweet and amazing husband came in to "snuggle" with me, and see how my day was. He had no since got the words " hey baby" out of his mouth and I was sobbing...rambling about every single thing that was bothering me. He just listened to me and held my hand...and wiped away my tears while I cried and vented about everything in the world bothering me...about 30 minutes later, I felt better...but I looked at him and started all over again because I was so grateful that he had just sat there and listened to me! Seriously, being a girl makes you crazy...I am so thankful to have such a loving husband... :)

Waiting

Well we decided to make the big jump and Rick is going to have his V-reversal surgery in march! The doctors say there is a 50/50 chance it will work....so it kinda makes me wonder if its worth it. At almost 4 thousand bucks....its totally in Gods Hands. I really want to be able to have another baby, more than anything right now. We already have names picked out, does that mean I am insane?
But with a new baby comes a whole new set of challenges and blessings....and I wonder...how will I be able to love another child like I love Mary? Shes my baby girl, and she will always be...but what happens when another baby comes? Its like the minute that I first held her in my arms, I was so in love with that precious little girl, I never thought I could love someone like that...you know? A love so deep you would do anything for them...to protect them, nurish them and make sure they are happy.
I am still trying to process it all. A huge part of my heart is gone when she is with her dad, and I miss her so very much...and I know having another baby would never in any way fill that void.
